Kyokushinkai Karate Port Macquarie
Welcome to Kyokushin Karate Port Macquarie Dojo!
I would like to introduce myself, Melinda Baksi, a Kyokushinkai black belt instructor. I moved to Port Macquarie three years ago with my husband and my son, following in my parents’ footsteps.

My husband graduated as a Nuclear Physicist and holds a 4th kyu (green belt) grade, and my son is in year 10 and holds an 8th kyu (blue belt) grade as a vision impaired child. Alongside training and continuing to pursue the ideals of Kyokushin karate as a lifelong commitment, I am excited to teach the children in our community in an effort to share the many benefits of physical and mental training that my family and I have been fortunate enough to experience and value.

I have many of decades of international teaching experience and am a patient, enthusiastic and disciplined instructor. Our worldwide Kyokushin ethos is one of non-discrimination; overcoming the bounds of gender, age, race, and socio-economic status.

I believe that my considerable professional martial art experience in Australia, Hungary, United Kingdom and Japan have helped me develop enthusiasm for fresh challenges whilst also developing the desire to give back to the community through martial arts and helping improve the experiences and lives of our future Australian generations.

Our organisation provides kids with competition opportunities in Australia as well as overseas. We also offer Kyokushinkai Karate camps during school holidays, as well as seminars in Australia with local and international instructors and also the privilege of attending our founder’s memorial at Mount Mitsumine Training Camp and seminars in Japan.

We have classes for all ages & levels - kids, adults and a specifically designed teen program. Beginner to advanced.

OSU!
